One of the 20th century’s greatest change agents, Dr. Sarah Weddington, who successfully argued the landmark Supreme Court case Roe v. Wade. Dr. Weddington one of the country’s great leadership experts, kicks off the Summit with a Keynote Address.
The Far East is leading the way in the globalization of the world – The WLE Summit will feature one of the 7 Most Influential Women in Asia, Sung-Joo Kim. Named one of the “Top 50 Women to Watch” by the Wall Street Journal, Mrs. Kim owns a $120 million company including the MCM designer brand and will share her strategies while being honored as a Compass Award Winner.
The California Global Warming Solutions Act of 2006 (CA AB32), affects all businesses in California. The City of Los Angeles Green Building Policy passed April 22nd; and the City is working on green policies for all businesses to reduce green houses gases. Small business owners need to be prepared to implement these changes before 2010.

How do women of all ethnic backgrounds come together and break through unconscious perceptions to change the face of business leadership in the world?
The Afternoon General Session will explore Breaking through Barriers, Boundaries and Biases to change the face of business leadership in the world. In a panel discussion and town hall format, WLE and the Center for Women’s Business Research, the foremost source of knowledge on women business owners and their enterprises, will explore the results of the Center’s 3-year research project “Accelerating the Growth of Businesses Owned by Women of Color”.
WLE provides women business leaders across a variety of business categories – service, retail, manufacturing, online, etc. – a day of education, networking and transformation that goes deeper and further than other conferences of its kind. WLE understands the needs of women business leaders because WLE was founded by two established women business owners who wanted to propel their businesses forward. They decided to create WLE and support the growth of all women in businesses.
